Search Strings Core Plugin

Most people use search engines to find web pages and as a webmaster, it is useful to know which search strings your visitors use to find your website. The Search Strings Core plugin can detect hits from over 60 search engines and which search strings were used.

The output of Search Strings is as follows: Firstly, the plugin tells you how many search engines were detected to have referred hits to your website. Next, it lists all of the search engines detected.

For each search engine, Search Strings displays how many search strings were found on the left, and then lists the search strings on the right. The search strings are ranked by how often they were used to find your website, in descending order.

Search Keywords Core Plugin

The Search Keywords plugin works exactly like Search Strings, but displays the actual search keywords used instead of the search strings.

Updates

Note that there will be occasional updates to a file called searchstrings.querynames.txt. This file allows Search Strings to detect the search engines. Updates to this file will allow you to detect more search engines or detect search engines more accurately. Keep an eye out for updates at PHPCounter Update.
