All Hits Core Plugin
All Hits displays for you all of the hits your website has received. By default, it displays the current Epoch's hits, but can display any Epoch's data. It displays this information in reverse order - i.e., most recent hits first. The information is shows is:
- Number of hits so far
- Requested URL: including any Query String
- Actual URL: This is the full URL to the PHP webpage, excluding the Query String
- Referer: The refering link, if any. If there is no refering link, a '#' sign is displayed
- Hit Time: The date and time of the hit
- User Agent: How the requesting software identified itself.
- Remote IP/Host: Who requested the page. PHPCounter tries to lookup the domain name of the visitor, which contains useful information. If it cannot find it, it displays the IP address instead.
Note that for a very large log file (as would happen on a popular site or in very long Epochs), All Hits can take a while to load!
All Hits displays two rows of data for each hit. This sophisticated layout allows for the display of lots of data in an efficient and easy-to-follow way.
A note about user agents: Browsers, web spiders/bots/crawlers, bookmark managers, etc identify themselves using the user agent field. Note however that sometimes user agents deliberately mis-identify themselves: For example, some spybots can identify themselves as Internet Explorer or something else. The point is that PHPCounter (or any other counter for that matter!) has no control over this and you should know this when interpreting the data.
